When Something Dies

When a phone dies, it’s like

Losing a sibling –

Who perpetually prattles in your ear.

Like losing your favourite TV show that you could not help watching

When you really should have been sleeping.

Like losing all your contacts,

except they’re all still alive, and in real life.

It’s like losing your world… except it isn’t.

Not really.
